The concept for Soccer Circus has been developed by the former football manager and international footballer Kevin Keegan, Scottish entrepreneur Peter Barr and engineer Clive Mockford. The Soccer Circus team has invested in excess of 6 years and £5m into the research, development and delivery of the attraction concept. The first site in Glasgow has been trading for over three years and has been enjoyed by thousands of visitors.
The Soccer Circus attraction concept is unique. It is centred on a series of football skill games intended to allow everyone to play, using real footballs in a series of interactive and fully automated games. The games and the nature of the attraction have a broad appeal to families and individuals, as well as football followers. Everyone likes to come and get a score for their skills, then come back and improve.
The first part of the attraction is a series of individual football skill challenges. The second half engages visitors in a team game in an 'immersive' stadium atmosphere. Scores for each game are recorded so players can view league tables to see their performance in comparison to other visitors and teams.
